Symptom
"There is a hole under my deck. I filled it in but it is back again!"
 If there is a hole underneath your porch or deck that keeps coming back after you have filled it in, we will ask you the following questions to help to determine the cause:
- Is the hole going under concrete or a wood deck?
- How large is the hole? Is it the size of a golf ball, tennis ball, softball, or larger?
- Is there a lot of dirt displaced outside of the hole?
- How long has the hole been there?
Cause
 Depending on your answers to the above questions, the problem may be caused by the following critters:
- Groundhog / Woodchuck
- Raccoon
- Opossum
- Skunk
- Rabbit
- Fox
- Rat
- Chipmunk
Remedy
The solution may involve the following:
- Investigate CSI (Critter Scene Investigation)
- Trap
- Exclusion (repair and prevent recurrence)
